Dr. Rup Singh is acting head of the School of Accounting, Finance and Economics at the University of the South Pacific in Suva. He started out as an economist at the Reserve Bank of Fiji. His current research asks how artificial intelligence can be used in economic forecasting without throwing out economic theory.
