A meeting place for serious young minds.

The Confluence is an international journal written and edited by students. We publish clear, ambitious work on politics, economics, technology, climate, philosophy, society, law and the subjects that refuse to stay in one category.

Our readers are curious teenagers, but our standard is simply good journalism: specific reporting, honest argument and prose worth spending time with. We are independent in editorial outlook and international by design, currently represented across 22 countries.

Why “The Confluence”?

A confluence is where currents meet without losing where they came from. That is the kind of publication we want to make—one where different disciplines and places sharpen each other.
