Paul Milgrom

Dr. Paul Milgrom is an economist at Stanford University, where he holds the Shirley and Leonard Ely professorship in Humanities and Sciences. He won the 2020 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for developing new auction formats. A spectrum auction he helped design for the US government brought in $19.8 billion, and he is now working on an auction that would lease water rights to help rescue the Great Salt Lake in Utah.
